The Botelho Team of Waterstone Mortgage consists of Sue Botelho, Manager and Loan Originator and Laura Baldwin, Loan Processor.  They are located in Ft. Walton Beach, FL and serve clients in the entire state of Florida and Alabama with a focus on the Panhandle of Florida.  They specialize in VA, FHA, USDA and condotel mortgages.

Sue has been in the mortgage industry for 13 years.  The first 8 years were spent as an Underwriter/Loan Processor, which is an advantage that a lot of other Loan Officers don't have.  This means that Sue can look at a file and make a determination right away as to whether or not it is approveable!  If it isn't, instead of declining the file, Sue has the knowledge and expertise to offer options for getting the file approveable.  This is a big help to clients who may not quite be able to purchase based on income or assets but who are ready to purchase right away.  Sue had her FHA and VA underwriting authority, as well as USDA and conventional, but her main focus was on second homes and investment properties and condotel financing.  Sue is originally from Washington, DC and attended college at the University of Alabama where she majored in accounting so this gives her a great perspective in understanding self-employed borrowers and their tax returns.  She is divorced and has two grown children and a granddaughter.

Laura is the contact person for the back end of the loan process.  She is the Processor, which means she processes all of the paperwork that comes in to make sure that everything is received that will be needed prior to sending the file to underwriting.  A well-put together file has a higher percentage of being approved and Laura is the best of the best at putting a file together!  She has been in the business 25 years and is very familiar with current guideline changes and how best to get a file approved.  She is originally from Cleveland, OH and is divorced with 4 children.
